SATCHI

Hailing from the homeland of drummer Yuko Oshima, who has been based in France since the early 2000s, this brand-new group takes its name from the Japanese word for “happiness”: Satchi. Anchored by Oshima’s energetic grooves, the trio unites two powerful voices from the young German (free) jazz scene: saxophonist Silke Eberhard and double bassist Maike Hilbig.
